TAYLORS Breaking NEWS

This is a statement that I think i should have made yesterday. I can say that after the news that was featured yesterday, people already judged us. But then again, as you visited this website...you your self can judge if we are a ILLEGAL RECRUITER. Kevin and I didntin any way lie to people who come to TAYLORS for assistance. One fact is that as you enter our office there is a sign stating that we are not a recruitment same as you go along with our website we have stated here what we do and what we do not do. i just hope those clients who trusted us still continue believing on us and pray for the employees of TAYLORS who untill now still under detention.

With the news accusing us already of being illegal recruiters...I would like to remind you that there is no conviction yet. Not even a decision made if we will be investigated further. here is a copy of my sister's email to abs-cbn:

From: Tambago, Czarina

Sent: Sunday, May 17, 2009 4:36 PM

To: 'feedback@abs-cbnnews.com'

Subject: news item on illegal recruiters from tv patrol

Importance: High

Hi. I would like to call your attention concerning one of your news items aired last 16 May 2009 in TV Patrol Sabado.

I am the sister of CHARLENE TAYLOR, one of those being accused for large scale illegal recruitment. I would like to point out that there are some unverified ?facts? from this report, and being a journalist myself, I find this very disturbing and unfair on my family, especially on my sister who is due to deliver her baby anytime this week.

When I came home on February 2009, I came to visit her ?new office and new business? in San Mateo , Rizal. Based on my queries with my sister, she put up the ?business? late last year only (last quarter of the year), and you could further check this by obtaining a copy of her business license, which also happens to be posted in their office in Banaba, San Mateo, Rizal. Thus, to say that the ?victims? have paid her one year ago, is an outright lie.

Also, from my queries with my sister, she told me that they are charging her ?applicants? 6T plus for the fees for the classes ? preparation classes for the IELTS, TOEIC, etc. Both my sister and my brother-in-law, Kevin Taylor, also conduct the classes. She further told me that they are not charging any placement fees, since as I have reiterated to her before, there is no way she could charge such fees since her business is NOT A RECRUITMENT AGENCY. I am an OFW myself, and I believe that it is a great crime to do illegal recruitment. I have vehemently expressed this sentiment to my sister during my vacation in February, and she explained to me the nature of her business.

Honestly, I do not know the extent of the applicants? complaints, but my only desire in bringing this to your attention is to please clarify your facts. The employee being referred to by the victims happen to be a FORMER EMPLOYEE. I have yet to inquire further on how Ms. Marie was sacked in my sister?s office, but initially, I was told that Ms. Marie had some financial issues with her. Apparently, my sister?s accountant/bookkeeper found out some discrepancies on their monthly expenditure, and it was found out that the unaccounted expenses were of Ms. Marie?s doing. They hired an accountant to monitor the business? gains and how much do they need to PAY FOR THE TAXES. Yes, my sister pays her taxes on time, and if they are indeed illegal recruiters, I don?t see any point why they do not need to charge for placement fees and pay the government with taxes monthly.

If it is indeed true that Ms. Marie came out to help the victims, then how come she spent few more months in the office and gained from her position? She is my sister?s immediate assistant and she knows a lot on the nature of the business. In fact, she often oversees and covers for my sister whenever my ate is out of town. How come that she suddenly became the victim?s ally now? If Ms. Marie could recall, in February 2009, my sister had some issues with one of her agents, who ?recruited? some people and charged them around 10T, without my sister knowing it. My sister filed a complaint on that person and Ms. Marie knows this too well. I even spoke to Marie several times as I often visit my sister in her office, and we both discuss that they have to be more careful with their dealings to avoid being charged with illegal recruitment and not allow other parties take advantage/use the company?s name to illegally recruit other people.

During my college years in UP, we were constantly briefed and trained by our professors about ?checking our facts? and becoming vigilant against being used by any party for their personal gains. It is sad that this happened in our family, and being a journalism graduate myself, this is such a slap on my face. What bothers me now is that the way this news item has been handled and aired, it immediately labeled my sister and my brother in law as illegal recruiters. While I understand that TV reporters have tight deadlines to meet, it is equally their obligation to check the facts and make sure that what they are about to issue as a ?news story? is true and accurate in form. (Your reporter even failed to get my sister?s name, for God?s sake!) This is where research comes in, right? This case is still being investigated, but having the issue aired on national TV and by showing clips of my brother in law being peddled by policemen, how else would you expect people not to judge them at all? I refuse to believe that sensationalism is happening in our country with the onset of the network wars. But I do plead that the next time you pick up a scoop, make it a point that you have truly checked the facts, especially if you are about to air on national TV a case which is still under investigation. In the end, I sincerely hope that your reporters remain to be unbiased and would not end up being used by anyone for their own favors. True, they have the 3?oclock deadline to beat, but does this mean that it has to be at the expense of other people? Can they simply be more careful in handling the ?facts? and the scoops? Baka naman kasi makuryente lang sila, di ba?

In closing, I am not sure as to how this case will be heard by the proper authorities. But I still cross my fingers that true justice will be served, even if that means my sister and her partner will be held accountable. I am not taking sides, I only want the truth and proper handling of the story be exercised. Yes, this is a free country, but isn?t it that for every freedom comes responsibility? What happened to our Journalist?s Code of Ethics then?

NOTE: It is your call if you will publish/air this email. But with this, I challenge your team to exercise prudence and conduct further research on every news story, regardless how big or small it may be.

Thank you very much.

Czarina C. Tambago

Read this for your judgement.

Thank you and I hope people will be enligthen about the issues.

Frequently asked questions from WHO, World Health Oganization.

What can I do?

      6 May 2009 (updating content posted 1 May 2009)

What can I do to protect myself from catching influenza A(H1N1)?

      The main route of transmission of the new influenza A(H1N1) virus seems to be similar to seasonal influenza, via droplets that are expelled by speaking, sneezing or coughing. You can prevent getting infected by avoiding close contact with people who show influenza-like symptoms (trying to maintain a distance of about 1 metre if possible) and taking the following measures:

avoid touching your mouth and nose;

clean hands thoroughly with soap and water, or cleanse them with analcohol-based hand rub on a regular basis (especially if touching the mouth and nose, or surfaces that are potentially contaminated);

avoid close contact with people who might be ill;reduce the time spent in crowded settings if possible;improve airflow in your living space by opening windows;practise good health habits including adequate sleep, eating nutritious food, and keeping physically active.

What about using a mask?

If you are not sick you do not have to wear a mask.

      If you are caring for a sick person, you can wear a mask when you are inclose contact with the ill person and dispose of it immediately after contact, and cleanse your hands thoroughly afterwards.

	When and how to use a mask?

      If you are sick and must travel or be around others, cover your mouth and nose.

      Using a mask correctly in all situations is essential. Incorrect use actually increases the chance of spreading infection.

How do I know if I have influenza A(H1N1)?

     You will not be able to tell the difference between seasonal flu and influenza A(H1N1) without medical help. Typical symptoms to watch for are similar to seasonal viruses and include fever, cough, headache,body aches, sore throat and runny nose. Only your medical practitioner and local health authority can confirm a case of influenza A(H1N1).

What should I do if I think I have the illness?

      If you feel unwell, have high fever, cough or sore throat:

stay at home and keep away from work, school or crowds; rest and take plenty of fluids;

coveryour nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing and, if using tissues,make sure you dispose of them carefully. Clean your hands immediately after with soap and water or cleanse them with an alcohol-based handrub;

if you do not have a tissue close by when you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth as much as possible with the crook of your elbow; use a mask to help you contain the spread of droplets when you are around others, but be sure to do so correctly;inform family and friends about your illness and try to avoid contact with other people;If possible, contact a health professional before traveling to a health facility to discuss whether a medical examination is necessary.

If possible, contact your health careprovider before traveling to a health facility, and report yoursymptoms. Explain why you think you have influenza A (H1N1) (e.g. ifyou have recently traveled to a country where there is an outbreak inpeople). Follow the advice given to you. If you can not contact your health care provider before traveling to a healthfacility, tell a health care worker of your suspicion of infection immediately after arrival at the clinic or hospital. Cover your nose and mouth during travel.

Should I go to work if I have the flu but am feeling OK?

      No.Whether you have influenza A(H1N1) or a seasonal influenza, you shouldstay home and away from work through the duration of your symptoms.This is a precaution that can protect your work colleagues and others.

Can I travel? If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of influenza, you should not travel. If you have any doubts about your health, you should check with your health care provider.

with thanks to WHO. For more details log onto the WHO Website http://www.who.int/en/

Is Direct Hiring Illegal?

Its been very popular among Filipinos this certain term "Direct Hire". However, many still wondering if this is legal or not. Basically, as a country of so many Overseas workers, we are aware that if it is not registered at the POEA...then it is illegal. First, we have to understand what a direct-hire is all about. For my own opinion direct hire is when an employer hired you directly without passing an agency or a recruitment. Direct hiring is not illegal, basically. However we need to be educated that though you got hired...as you will work outside the country it is best to be registered at the POEA. Regardless you are hired by an agency nor an employer directly it is safer that you registered your self at this agency were you will be assured of your security, the job that was offered to you and same as the you are properly documented as an overseas worker.

Nowadays, many job offer from the internet and as we know alot of us will grab the best chance to accept the offer. Yes, there are some offers that are legitimate, moreover we need to be aware of the rampant scams on job overseas. What is the best way then to secure yourself from this direct hiring? Well, we need to understand that when we are hired directly an employer must not CHARGE anything to us. It is the employers responsibility to pay for the VISA, medical and airfare. And most importanly YOU must require your employer to get you an approved LMO (Labour-Market-Opinion) or any related department from the host country. Yes, this will take awhile. Sometime it may take seven months and alot of paper works to be done. But then it is better as this will assure you that you are hired with a legitimate job. That you will be paid properly and most importanly, you are safe. Many of us had experienced applying for a Work Visa but being denied as the consul does not see you leaving the country after the job or they do not believe that it is alegitimate job. It is because we tend to forget to get LMO. The employers must prove that hiring you as a FORIEGN WORKER in their country is a need, that you are not getting the position from the locals and that the offer is genuine. Many jobs abroad, many offers we will get; but getting an approved LMO is not that much. Be carefull and always think of your safety and your security. It is better that you wait for your LMO and verification from the POEA rather than leaving the country with uncertainty. A proper visa means a safe journey to your future and a security for your love ones that you will leave behind.

New student immigration system set to launch in the UK on 31st March 2009 (10/03/2009)

The UK Government today announced the go-live date for the student tier of its new points-based system for migration.

From 31st March, students looking to study in the UK can apply for their visa through the new points-based system which will streamline the Student visa application process.

Under the new transparent system, students will need to prove that they have been accepted onto a course run by a UK Border Agency (UKBA) licensed education institution, prove that they have the means to support themselves and supply their biometric details at their local visa application centre.

If granted a visa, the new regulations allow international students to undertake part-time work of up to 20 hours per week during term time, full time work during the holidays as well as any course related work placements.

A UKBA spokesperson commented: “Thousands of international students choose to study in the UK every year. These changes to the visa application system will allow students to check whether they are eligible for a visa before they even apply, making the whole system more straightforward. We would urge anyone considering studying in the UK to visit the UKBA website now to familiarise themselves with the new regulations and ensure their application can be processed as quickly as possible.”

For the first time, all independent fee-paying schools, colleges and universities that want to accept international students to study with them now need a licence to do so. This will help the UK Government crack down on bogus colleges, something which will be welcome news to many international students, who can now be sure the language school, college or university they intend to study at is an approved educational institution. So far over a thousand UK institutions have signed up to sponsor international students.

About the UK Student Visa
Applying for a General Student visa or a Child Student visa under Tier4 is a simple process and should be done in the country of which you are a national or a legal resident. You can apply for a visa by post, in person or online. For your application to be successful you will need:

    * A current passport or travel document;
    * A visa letter from the institution you are planning to study at;
    * Proof of maintenance funds;
    * Evidence of any qualifications the sponsoring institution took account of when deciding to accept you for the course you plan to study;
    * Any other supporting documents relevant to your application.

You will also need to make an appointment at your nearest visa application centre to provide your biometric details (10 digit fingerscans and a digital photograph) as part of the application process.

The UK Border Agency will refuse your application and you may be banned from coming to the UK for 10 years if you use a false document, lie or withhold relevant information.

Students looking to study in the UK for six months or less, and who do not wish to take any employment while they are in the UK, or to extend their stay while they are in the country, can enter the UK on a student visitor visa.

No need for that! Think about your future and your security. Yes, there are many ways to get employment abroad though there is a WORLD WIDE ECONOMIC CRISES.

And for the EMPLOYERS who are really looking forward in getting QUALIFIED PEOPLE... TAYLORS is the best way as each and every applicants we have on our list are HIGHLY-QUALIFIED! We select every applicants very carefully by adapting the BRITISH RECRUITMENT SYSTEM! Endorsing them for qualifying ENGLISH EXAM such as TOEIC and IELTS and providing English Enhancement Programs that is being conducted by our very own BRITISH Teacher. Always remember that a good and reputable company starts with having QUALIFIED PEOPLE that are KNOWLEDGABLE of their JOB, having good WORK ETHICS and ENGLISH PROFICIENT!

waiting for Filipino workers in Europe as United Kingdom (UK) is still
experiencing labor shortage in their several industries. The UK

Australia

Vast, diverse and enticing, multicultural Australia revels in a Pacific
Rim location that drenches it in sunshine and an affable charisma.

Sydney boasts the finest natural harbour in the world, comprising sandstone headlands, white sandy beaches and endless surf. Melbourne's Victorian grace and easygoing charm belies a dynamic city that hosts the nation's premier sporting and cultural events. Brisbane, the river city, is gateway to the tropical northeast, Adelaide is an impossibly well laid-out city oozing grandeur, while Perth is young, brash and alluring.

Australia
may be an island, but it is also the world's largest one, encompassing
a range of stunning landscapes, from immense, barren deserts to tropical rainforests and rugged mountains. Isolated from other continents, Australia has an abundance of unique plant and animal life recognisable by cuddly koalas, bounding kangaroos and ungainly emus.

One
of the country's greatest lures is its sense of space. A beach, patch
of tropical forest or piece of sandy desert all to yourself is an easy
reality. Watersports are ferociously popular, especially surfing. The hulking form of Uluru
(Ayers Rock), an impossibly large rock plonked in the middle of
Australia that soaks up the reds and oranges of the outback's fiery
sun, is Australia's most iconic image.

Captain Cook stumbled
onto Australian shores in 1770 to find an Aboriginal way of life that
went back some 40,000 years. By 1868, Britain had sent more than
160,000 convicts to Australia.

Experiencing the culture of Australia's indigenous
population is one of the great highlights of a visit. Many tensions
still exist between mainstream Australia and its indigenous people. The
first European settlers treated the Aboriginal population with
appalling brutality, which gave way to racist and cruel policies from
subsequent administrations. However, the slow march towards reconciliation was given a boost in 2007 with the new government's promise of a formal apology.

Whether your passion is skiing, sailing, museum-combing or indulging in exceptional cuisine,
Canada has it all. Western Canada is renowned for its stunningly
beautiful countryside; Eastern Canada mixes the flavour and charm of
Europe with the bustle of trendy New York; wildlife
viewing is at its best in Northern Canada; and, everywhere, you will be
surprised by how much more there is to this country than just maple
syrup and Mounties.

However, Canada also has its fair share of unsavoury history. Traces of up to a dozen distinct groups of Inuit
(Eskimos – Canada's indigenous peoples) have been discovered across
Canada's far northern regions. The Inuit maintain that traditional
lands were taken from them by force or subterfuge by previous
governments, bearing some resemblance to the plight of the Aborigines
in Australia.

However, there have been some small measures to
tackle their remonstrations: in 1991, a 350,000 sq km (135,135 sq
miles) area of the Northwest Territories was relinquished to the Inuit
as the semi-autonomous Nunavut territory; and
additional lands and measures of self-government were granted to the
territory in 1999. There is certainly room in Canada to accommodate for
these peoples: despite Canada's gigantic size, the country is sparsely populated.
Most people congregate around urban centres, and venturing into more
remote rural areas, you may well have only the country's stunning
scenery as your companion.

Indeed, Canada is so beautifully diverse
that it makes it that little bit easier to comprehend why so many
people fought for possession of it. During the 17th century, the
Anglo-French war over Canada ended with the capitulation of the French
Canadian capital, Québec, to the besieging forces of
the English General Wolfe. The Americans made a number of efforts to
seize control of Britain’s Canadian territories after British defeat in
the American War of Independence, but failed, and the two countries
thereafter evolved along different historical paths. In 1791, Canada
was divided between regions occupied by the English-speaking and the
longer-established French-speaking community, but the arrangement did
not work and was replaced by a unified system.

Canada now
promotes itself as a country of peace, most notably in recent times in
its opposition to the US-led war against Iraq. Canada governs itself
independently but still has the British monarch as its head of state,
with relatively little dissent. These factors are typical of a country
that somehow succeeds in unifying incredible range: whatever your
passion, Canada has a place for it. After all, this country spans six time zones and borders three of the world's four oceans.
